It has been announced today that Suzuki/ Rockstar OTSFF has released MX2 rider Jeremy Medaglia as a direct result of his actions this past weekend, where he rode for the Yamaha of Troy team at Southwick.
“We feel bad that we have to make an example of him,” said team manager Andre Laurin, “but this is as a direct result of his actions on the weekend. It is too bad really but we have commitments with suppliers and sponsors that bring in our funds to make our team budget, and if we breach our contracts we also are at fault as a team, we are dedicated to support the industry, and our sponsors are whom pays the bills. We feel compassion for him, but if you violate a contract you have to deal with the consequences.”
When asked if this would affect the OTSFF’s relationship with Jeremy’s brother and former team-mate Tyler, Laurin said, “I don’t think so; we treated them both as separate entities.”
Jeremy’s contract was scheduled to end in May of 2009 prior to the start of the CMRC season.
