SX riders visit Sick Kids

AURORA, Ill. -- While in town for the opening race of Amp'd Mobile World Supercross GP at Toronto's Rogers Centre, Yamaha's Chad Reed and Kawasaki's James Stewart and Tim Ferry spent the afternoon at Sick Kids Hospital for a meet and greet with the top 10 fundraisers for MX for Children.

Reed, Stewart and Ferry signed autographs for the hardworking supporters of the organization that raised $32,500 for SickKids Hospital. The Amp d Mobile World Supercross GP icons also fielded questions from a gathering of local media and motocross journalists to discuss the weekend s highly-anticipated race.

The day's activities ended with Reed, Stewart and Ferry reading books to the kids in the hospital.

"I enjoy doing events like this," said Reed. "There s no better feeling than giving back to the fans that support us and to those kids in the hospital. James and I are competitors on the track, but today, we are here to give back to the kids."

As part of the fundraising package, the top donors were treated to a behind-the-scenes experience where they shared one-on-one time with Reed, Stewart and Ferry of Amp'd Mobile World Supercross GP.

"I'm thrilled that the riders are so supportive of the fundraising efforts," said Paul Gross, founder of MX for Children. "Their efforts off the track are as impressive as they are on the track. Our top donors worked hard to raise money for the hospital, and, in return, they were able to enjoy an incredible experience."

The next stop of the Inside Line Experience will be announced soon. The first-ever Inside Line Experience took place last season at the Seattle stop of Amp'd Mobile World Supercross, where Team Yamaha and Team Suzuki contributed to the success of the inaugural event.
